The Eagles Have Landed!

Ryan actually earned his Eagle in 2010 but wanted to wait to have a Court of Honor together with Matthew.  Little did we know that Matthew's project would keep getting delayed for reasons beyond his control.  He finally changed projects.  After that was done, he finished up a few more merit badges.  Typical of Ryan, he put his own interests aside for a brother.  And the struggle and persistence required for Matthew to earn his Eagle Rank was rather symbolic of his whole life.  He's come a long way from the NICU and heart surgery days!  So, now we have 3 Eagle Scout sons.  It wasn't a typical route to a Court of Honor, but then when has our family ever been typical?  Sometimes it takes us a little longer but the destination is what counts!

Safer in the world with four of my heroes.  Kyle couldn't be there that day so you'll just have to join me in imagining him standing in this picture.  :)
