We Still Have 5

An explanation is long overdue. Yes, we still have 5 children!  Kyle spread his wings and flew from our nest almost a year ago...not that I'm counting.  He's graduated from many of our family outings and is off on his own adventures these days.  That's as it should be.  So while he's missing from blog photos, rest assured he's still in our hearts. We enjoy the times when we get together and thanks to texting, we stay connected in between visits.  :) 

What's he up to these days, you ask?  Kyle works full time and earlier this year bought his own car. Congratulations to him for earning the August Employee of the Month award, a promotion, and a hard-earned raise, too!  Good things for a good guy! 




About Face
 

Remember the black and white hiking photos in my first post? Well, when I said our kids have been hiking since they could walk, I wasn't kidding.  We're a family of nature lovers and Kyle's still at it!  He loves rock climbing and mountain hiking on a weekly basis and now has the injured foot to prove it.  Hiking will involve hobbling about in a walking boot for awhile.

Pieces of Time

Yes, our first little boy is all grown up. We recently celebrated his 21st birthday but I still remember Kyle as a toddler, sitting on Andy's shoulders almost as often as he sat anywhere else. Now he's an adult and we're still trying to figure out how that happened! Makes me want to break into a chorus of Sunrise, Sunset.
